Welcome,
On September 23, 2008, T-Mobile advertised the G1, the first “Google phone” and Google released the “Android 1.0 SDK release 1”, the development environment for the Google phone. I found this so interesting, the same day I immediately downloaded the development environment on my Macintosh and started experimenting with it.
A couple of weeks later, the decision was made, I have to find myself a project to do a little programming on the Google phone. On October 26, 2008, EUREKA, I am going to write an application to view a “Pocket Query” from the Geocaching web site on the Google phone. The application will be named “GeoUtil”. I anticipate that I should be done with the writing, testing and publish it on the “Google Market” in May 2009.
For now, I will not expand on the functionality of this application, so stay tuned for the surprise. Don't want to create false expectations, as development progresses, some application functionality might be changing a little.
For progress updates on the development of the GeoUtil application and timeline to when the application will be published to the Google Market web site, please see the road map tab.
